Tangled Up

In December, John L. Costely Middle School launched its inaugural “Tangled Up” project under the festive theme “How the Hair Stole Christmas.” This exciting initiative challenges our talented student stylists to plan, sketch, and craft unique holiday-inspired hairstyles.tangled up

The journey began with a kickoff meeting, where students reviewed and discussed creative hair inspiration concepts. This was followed by a brainstorming session to plan and sketch their ideas, culminating in the hands-on execution and presentation of their stunning final designs.

What is “Tangled Up”?
“Tangled Up” is more than a design club—it’s a platform for fostering creativity, enhancing skills, and promoting sportsmanship and respect through the art of hair care, styling, and education.

Each month, the club handpicks nine student stylists to channel their artistic flair into creating hairstyles inspired by a specific theme. The process culminates in a school-wide showcase, where staff and students review and vote for their favorite designs. The winning stylist will represent their creation in a final showcase and competition held in June, celebrating the innovation and passion of our student stylists.

Stay tuned for more inspiring themes as they continue to celebrate creativity and artistry one hairstyle at a time!
